I wouldn't give Hairy the credence of a reply. Clearly an After 8 fantasist weirdo, if not the same person.

Come on Hairy, it's football - it would pretty boring if there weren't certain managers/teams/players you didn't have an irrational (or rational) hatred for.

And that's hatred in the football sense, not the wishing them dead or punching them if you ever saw them in the street sense.

Yes he was an awful manager but the hate thing now is getting rather sad, that is what i think.

Blame the chairmen if you wish Sam Allardyce did what he was put in the job to do, badly yes but he did it.

If Fat Sam moved the goalposts as much as you just have we might have finished top half.

'Comfortably far from relegation'

That's not true though is it?

Re: Sunderland v Liverpool
As has been said before he's not the first manager to stumble upon a winning system but he may be the first to abandon it completely once he got his favourites fully fit.

Yes Mike. I nearly stopped reading after 3 words as it looked like it was going to defend him!

Injuries, not Allardyce, dictated team selection in the first half of last season and with what was available he simply couldn't set up a team to play his way. The results speak for themselves.

Come Christmas, Santa brought him everything he asked for and he was, from that point on, able to display to the world, his excessive portfolio of football management skills. Strangely, those results also speak for themselves but many, especially in the media, are trying so hard not to listen.

Hairy,
Were we not 19th after the Boxing Day games a few years back? Not sure id call that comfortably far from relegation.

Were we? Were we that comfortable that we had to go all Man United on the FA Cup?

I cannot lie I have to say it, The Sam Allardyce hate thing is becoming really boring he was not our kind of manager that is for sure, but for the sake of God if nothing we were always comfortably far from relegation with him in charge.

I knew he was not the man for West Ham after 1 season in the prem hated everything he stood for but I am not going to slag him off when all he did was do it his way.

Makes special praise for Sunderland fans who did not make a peep for an hour and left the stadium half empty with 5 minutes left to play but criticises West Ham fans for showing passion throughout and staying on till the end to show their displeasure

No wonder he loves managing tin pot clubs in the north west so much and hated being at West Ham and Newcastle

I think his pitifully desperate after match interview against Man City smacks of a man who is trouble.
Big Sam will keep you up?..of course he will..haha.
I'm still recovering from second half of last season..up there with anything that has gone before..and that's saying something.
Made all the more enraging by the constant drivel in the media at the time telling us how ungrateful we are!
But this is old ground been done to death...just glad he's gone.

Polite, the Mrs has said I'm not allowed to post the spreadsheet after every game. I said no, just after a defeat. It will be posted in the morning. He's got 6 wins out of 32.
